Born in Rome, 20 April 1969. University of Rome “La Sapienza”: degree in Law, 19 April 1993.

Upon entering the diplomatic career, he attended the training course from 3 July to 30 April 1996 at the Diplomatic Institute and then served at the Legal Department of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs. Promoted Secretary of Legation on 1 May 1996.

After fulfilling his military service obligations, on 13 May 1997 he was appointed to the Directorate General for Economic Affairs.

From 1998 to 2002 he served as Second Secretary and then First Secretary at the Commercial Section of the Embassy of Italy in Warsaw.

Appointed in August 2002 to the Permanent Representation to NATO in Brussels as First Secretary, where he was confirmed as Counsellor in 2005.

Back in Rome in 2006, he served at the General Secretariat, Analysis and Programming Unit at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs until 2010.

In 2010, he was appointed to the Embassy of Italy in London as Counsellor and then First Counsellor. In 2015, he was transferred to the Permanent Representation to the EU in Brussels as First Counsellor at the Commercial Section.

Returned to Rome in 2017, he served at the Directorate General for Political Affairs and Security.

In 2021, he was promoted Minister Plenipotentiary. On January 2022 he was appointed Head of the Desk for the UN System and Election Officer (UN).

He was then seconded to the Ministry of University and Research as Diplomatic Advisor to the Minister from May 2022 to September 2023.

Since 17 October 2023, he has been in staff to the Director General for Europe and International Trade Policy, where he is in charge of the EU Strategy for Global Gateway.

In 2024, he is appointed Ambassador of Italy to the Republic of Finland.
